Job summary

Midway Flooring is seeking a friendly showroom assistant to welcome customers, provide flooring guidance, and coordinate in-home consultations at our Stanmore Bay showroom. Training is provided, and you’ll own the showroom experience with a warm, organized approach.

Flexible hours and a supportive team help you succeed in helping customers find floors they’ll love for years to come.

Qualifications

• Warm, welcoming, can-do attitude.
• Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable juggling customers, phones, and admin.
• Background in flooring or interior design is a plus, but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greeting and looking after every customer who walks through our door.
• Giving great advice and helping customers choose the right floor for their home and lifestyle.
• Booking in-home consultations and site measures.
• Handling phone and online enquiries.
• Running in-showroom consultations with customers.
• Keeping showroom looking beautiful and well presented.
• Maintaining sample range so it's up to date and easy to find.
• Passing on customer information and enquiries to the sales team.

Midway Flooring – Stanmore Bay, North Island

You'll be the first face our customers see, and often the person who helps them fall in love with their new floor. You don't need to be a flooring expert on day one – full training is provided – but you do need to genuinely love working with people and take pride in getting the details right.

Key responsibilities

Warmly greeting and looking after every customer who walks through our door

Giving great advice, drawing on (and building) your flooring knowledge so customers choose the right floor for their home and lifestyle

Booking in-home consultations and site measures

Handling phone and online enquiries

Running in-showroom consultations with customers

Keeping our showroom looking beautiful and well presented

Maintaining our sample range so it's always up to date and easy to find

Keeping product pricing current and accurate

Liaising with our sales team and passing on customer information and enquiries

About you

A warm, welcoming, can-do attitude – you're the kind of person who makes people feel at ease

Great organisational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable juggling customers, phones, and admin without dropping the ball

A background in flooring or interior design is a big plus, but absolutely not required – we'll train the right person

Reliable and happy to genuinely own the showroom as "yours"
