Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating bookings and daily flight schedules
  • Providing outstanding customer service and sales support
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to flight operations
  • Assisting with the coordination of a team of 20+ pilots
  • Supporting the smooth running of day-to-day flight operations
  • Communicating with customers throughout the booking and flight process
  • Helping manage weather-related changes, rescheduling and cancellations
  • Assisting with general office and operational tasks as required

About the role

Join the GForce Paragliding team for the 2026/27 summer season as a Flight Operations Team Member.

This is a dynamic, people-focused summer role set in one of the most iconic locations in New Zealand. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our daily paragliding flights.

You'll be working directly with customers, supporting our pilots and flight operations team, and helping deliver an exceptional experience from booking through to flight.

We're New Zealand's largest tandem paragliding operator, flying from the Skyline Gondola above Queenstown. Every day, we help visitors experience a true bucket-list adventure while delivering world-class customer service.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role within the tourism industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for outdoor adventure and a desire to share the thrill of paragliding with others
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
  • Experience or an interest in marketing and social media would be a bonus

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

A full New Zealand driver's licence is required

A current P endorsement (passenger endorsement) would be valuable, but is not essential

This is a full-time fixed-term position for the 2026/27 summer season, commencing in late September 2026 and continuing through to 30 April 2027.

The role will involve a minimum of 30 hours a week, being able to work weekends and public holidays is essential.

For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to continue working with GForce beyond the fixed-term period.
