Experience Co NZ Holdings – known for NZONE Skydive and Skydive Wanaka – seeks a Ground Crew member for the Queenstown Drop Zone. The role is full-time, fixed-term to cover the summer season (Sept 20, 2026 – May 15, 2027). Mandarin language skills are highly regarded.

About the role

We are seeking a Ground Crew team member to join our team on a Full-time Fixed-term basis, and must be available to cover our entire Summer Season (20 September 2026 - 15 May 2027) at our Queenstown Drop Zone!

Mandarin language skills are highly regarded and will be considered a strong advantage due to the requirements of the role.

Role Overview:

As Ground Crew, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring they feel informed, safe, and excited throughout their skydiving experience. This role involves customer service, airside operations, administration, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet and brief customers, manage expectations, conduct safety briefings, celebrate post-jump experiences, and promote additional services.
• Airside Operations: Assist with gearing up, post-jump procedures, parachute catching, aircraft refueling, and aircraft loading.
• Flight Operations: Prepare manifests, allocate customers to instructors, track jump numbers, and support safe and efficient aircraft operations.
• Administration & Facilities: Maintain accurate records, assist with stocktaking, keep customer areas clean, and report maintenance requirements.
• Workplace Health & Safety: Follow safety procedures, monitor customer wellbeing, report hazards, and ensure compliance with company and aviation requirements.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
• Attention to detail in manifesting, record-keeping, and safety procedures.
• Team player with a proactive attitude towards safety and operational efficiency.
• Ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding conditions.
• This role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional skydiving experience while ensuring smooth operations and compliance with aviation standards.

Prior Skydive / Ground Crew experience is highly regarded.
