Join our wildlife conservation whānau in the heart of Queenstown
Kiwi Park is a family-owned, five-acre wildlife sanctuary in central Queenstown. We care for more than 20 species of native New Zealand birds and reptiles and are involved in nationally managed conservation programmes.
Conservation is at the heart of Kiwi Park, and every person who visits us helps support this work.
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join our Visitor Experience team over summer. This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys meeting people, working as part of a close‑knit team and being surrounded by native wildlife.
As one of the first people our visitors meet, you will play an important part in making them feel welcome and helping them enjoy their time at Kiwi Park.
No two days are quite the same. You could be welcoming visitors and taking bookings, helping in our gift shop, making barista coffee, or spending part of your shift assisting visitors out in the Park.
You will also host native New Zealand honey tastings and give short, interesting talks beside our transparent beehive, sharing the story of honeybees, honey production and their importance to our environment.
On some shifts, you will work as a custodian at our Kiwi Encounter or other visitor areas. You will welcome visitors, manage visitor flow, answer general questions and help everyone enjoy the experience while respecting the wildlife around them.
It is a great opportunity to work in a family‑owned conservation park, enjoy time outdoors among native wildlife and help people from around the world make the most of their visit.
