Job summary

NZ Transport Agency seeks a Facilities Coordinator to support the Corporate Property, Health Safety & Wellbeing, and Security teams. The role covers multiple sites in the Auckland region, coordinating contractors, maintaining facilities, and ensuring safety and security standards are met.

Regular travel between offices is required and the position is office-based. The successful candidate will help develop facilities management plans, oversee maintenance activities, and provide timely metrics

Qualifications

• Understanding of building maintenance, office operations, and supplier management.
• Experience in facilities, property, or a related field.
• Experience planning office moves or minor fits-outs is a plus.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security practices for offices and contractors.
• Strong relationship and stakeholder management with contractors.
• Organised, able to manage competing demands with practical judgement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative tasks.
• Clean, full NZ driver licence and ability to travel to offices across the region.

Responsibilities

• Maintain office environments to a high standard.
• Oversee activities of contractors, service providers and suppliers.
• Initiate ordering, purchasing or quotes for work or supplies; validate completion.
• Support facilities management plans and schedules for sites.
• Provide reporting on facilities-related metrics.
• Collaborate with Corporate Property partners and building occupants.
