Job summary

New World Wanaka, part of Foodstuffs NZ, is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the retail floor and team in a busy supermarket.

You’ll oversee merchandising, stock, safety standards, and ensure a great customer experience, with shifts including weekends. Applicants should have at least 2 years in a supermarket, a Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one, and experience with SAP. Pay $28–$32 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket
• Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one
• Good time management and communication skills
• Confident in leading and supporting a team
• Sound problem solving and decision making ability
• Experience with SAP or similar systems
• A quick learner with a positive attitude
• A Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one
• Experience working in a fresh food department

Responsibilities

Pay rate range for these positions are $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. The shifts for these roles will include weekends. These roles relate to ANZSCO 142111 (Skill level 2) Retail Manager.
