Job summary

New World Wanaka is seeking diligent and hardworking retail assistants for multiple in-store roles. You’ll help customers, stock and display products, assist with shopping, wrap items and process payments at the till. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, along with a willingness to learn.

These roles offer steady year-round work, some weekend shifts, and a minimum of 30 hours per week. Pay ranges from $24.50 to $26.00 per hour, aligned with ANZSCO 621111.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is desirable
• Ability to work well in a team
• Strong communication skills
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and answer questions
• Stack and display goods for sale
• Provide personal shopping assistance
• Wrap, prepare and package goods for sale
• Serve customers and process payments at POS

Supermarket Assistants – New World Wanaka

New World Wanaka is 100% locally owned and located just a hop, skip and jump from Wanaka’s Lake edge right in the middle of town at 20 Dunmore Street, Wanaka.

We have multiple opportunities available in our vibrant store for diligent and hardworking retail superstars. Departments and shifts are varied and will be discussed at interview.

Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:

• Helping customer to find products in the store and answering their questions
• Stacking & displaying goods for sale
• Personal shopping
• Wrapping, preparing and packaging goods for sale
• Servicing customers and accepting payment for goods via our point-of-sale systems
• Assisting with the ongoing management of stock such as participating in stock takes

Pay rate range for these positions is $24.50 - $26.00 per hour. Roles are a minimum of 30 hours per week and most will include some weekend work. These roles relate to ANZSCO 621111 (L5) Sales Assistant.
