New World The Sands is the go-to supermarket in the Papamoa community. We are seeking a full-time, experienced Delicatessen Assistant Manager to join our Delicatessen Team working an early shift across the week, including one weekend day.

As part of our Delicatessen Team, you’ll play an integral role in delivering an awesome fresh food offering and shopping experience for our community, with opportunities to lead, develop menus and contribute to our high standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a café, restaurant or deli environment with a strong understanding of food preparation and presentation.
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team
• A passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes
• Ability to develop new and exciting deli options that cater to a variety of tastes
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Able to follow food safety and compliance processes
• Reliable, honest and a good team player
