Avis Budget Group at Invercargill Airport is seeking a Rental Operations Agent for a permanent, full-time role. Based at 79 Airport Avenue, this entry-level position includes training and a supportive environment to build customer service and rental operations skills.

You will handle front- and back-of-house tasks, interactions with customers, rentals, contracts, inspections, and vehicle cleaning to ensure readiness.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the counter and process rental transactions, contracts and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, drive and park cars.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles in the wash bay to ensure readiness for customers.

We Operate 7 Days a Week, From 7 Am To 8.30 Pm Where We Are Looking To Fill The Following Shift

• Tuesday 10.00 - 18.30
• Wednesday 12.00 - 20.30
• Thursday 12.00 - 20.30
• Friday 12.00 - 20.30
• Saturday 10.00 - 18.30

About The Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

What We Are Looking For

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
