Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a Rental Operations Agent in Queenstown. This full-time, 40-hour week role covers front and back-of-house tasks, including customer interactions, rental transactions, and vehicle preparation. Training will be provided to support success in a busy retail environment.

Roles require a full driver’s license and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as needed. Competitive hourly rate with incentives and benefits.

Qualifications

• Entry level role with training provided.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality or customer service is a plus.
• Able to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the counter to rent cars and upsell products.
• Process rental contracts and bookings accurately.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance needs; drive and park vehicles as required.
• Keep vehicles clean inside and out and ensure they are ready for customers.

Best of both worlds where you are not just sitting behind a desk all day! Based at Apex Car Rentals in Queenstown,we have a full-time position available for someone who has exceptional customer service skills and isn't afraid of hard work.

We operate 7 days a week, on a rotating roster so there will be a requirement for you to work early mornings (from 8 am), afternoons, nights (until 6.30 pm), weekends and public holidays as required.

Permanent, Full-Time 40-hours per week position available (5 x 8-hour shifts per week)

About the Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
