Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Rental Operations Agent at Invercargill Airport. This entry-level role involves frontline customer interactions, processing rentals, contracts and bookings, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

You will inspect vehicles, drive and park them, and keep them clean. Training is provided, uniform and parking are supplied, and a supportive team environment helps you grow within the company.

Permanent, Full-Time position - working 40-hours per week

We operate 7 days a week, from 7 am to 8.30 pm where we we are looking to fill the following shift:

• Tuesday 10.00 - 18.30

• Wednesday 12.00 - 20.30

• Thursday 12.00 - 20.30

• Friday 10.00 - 18.30

• Saturday 10.00 - 18.30

About the Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.

• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.

• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided)

• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
