Mövenpick Hotel Auckland is seeking an energetic Conference Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of conference and event operations, ensuring flawless execution and memorable guest experiences.

The role focuses on guiding the conference team, building strong client relationships, and maintaining the highest standards across all event spaces while coordinating with multiple departments. A strong hospitality background and leadership ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising conference, banquets, events, or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Confident to work independently and lead operations.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• RSA certificate current or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead conference, banquet, and event operations from setup through packdown.
• Supervise and support the conference team during service.
• Ensure rooms and spaces are prepared to highest standard.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and resolve issues professionally.
• Conduct team briefings and ensure smooth execution.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Front Office, Sales & Events, and other departments.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and standards across all event spaces.
• Assist with training and development of team members.
• Take ownership of operations and make confident decisions during shifts.
