Job summary

Summerset in the Vines Village in Hawke's Bay, Hastings, is seeking a caring caregiver to join a team delivering personal care and daily living support to residents. You will work as part of a team to create a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle, with duties including meals, hygiene, mobility and activities.

This casual, on-site role offers flexible shifts, weekend rates, uniform provided, and opportunities to progress your caregiver career and gain qualifications.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient
• Strong verbal communication skills to build relationships
• Available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
• Experience in aged care or similar role

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes
• Aid with hygiene and showers
• Support with individual care plans (walks and exercises)

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Vines Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
