Job summary

Summerset in Wellington is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for Boulcott village to support residents with daily living, meals and personal care. You will work with a team to create a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents, delivering meals, aiding hygiene and assisting with care plans and activities.

This casual, as-needed role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to adapt to varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

As a Caregiver at our Boulcott village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when required basis.
