Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Hawke's Bay, at the Vines Village, seeks a casual Caregiver to provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents. You will help with meals, hygiene, mobility, and social activities in a supportive team environment.

The role is casual, on an as-needed basis, with opportunities to progress and gain qualifications through our valued benefits program. Uniform provided and a strong emphasis on care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient with residents.
• Strong verbal communication to build relationships.
• Available for a variety of shifts, including short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene such as showering.
• Support with care plans, walks and exercises.
• Assist residents with activities like puzzles.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Vines Village,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
