Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a caring Casual Caregiver to join our Trentham Village team. You will provide personal care and daily support to residents, assist with meals, hygiene, and daily activities in a friendly, supportive environment.

We value empathy, reliability and a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Training and uniforms are provided, with opportunities to grow within a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building.
• Committed to available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Support with personal hygiene and daily care.
• Assist with individual care plans and activities.
• Support residents in activities like puzzles and table games.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our INSERT VILLAGE NAME you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
