Job summary

Summerset in the Vines is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join a team delivering personalised care to residents. You will assist with meals, hygiene, and activities, following individual care plans and supporting daily living activities within a village setting.

Two rosters are available: full-time 60-80 hours per fortnight across a 4-on/2-off pattern, and part-time 48 hours per fortnight Monday-Thursday, 7am-1:30pm. Weekend rate uplift applies.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind, and patient.
• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to rotate mornings, afternoons, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, including showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements and activities.
• Support residents with activities such as puzzles or table tennis.

As a Caregiver at our Summerset in the Vines village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

We have 2 positions available:

• Full-time: 60 - 80hours per fortnight on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster with a mix of AM and PM shifts.
• Part-time: 48 hours per fortnight from Monday - Thursday, 7am - 1:30pm.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
