Job summary

Summerset Group Holdings Limited in Auckland is seeking a caring Caregiver for our St Johns village to help provide personal care and support to residents, delivering warmth and companionship in daily life. You will perform duties such as assisting with meals, hygiene, movement, and activities; while building relationships with residents and their families in a respectful, compassionate environment.

This casual role offers flexible shifts and the chance to progress within a values-led company

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our St Johns village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
