Summerset Retirement Villages seeks a caring Caregiver for our St Johns village. You will join a team delivering personal care and assisting residents with daily activities, meals, hygiene and mobility in a supportive community.

We value empathy, patience and strong communication, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. This casual role offers flexible shifts on an as-needed basis, with opportunities to gain qualifications and progress within the organisation.

Formación

• You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role is preferred and highly valued.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our St Johns village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
