Job summary

Summerset is seeking a Caregiver for our Ellerslie village in Auckland. You will join a team delivering personal care and assistance to residents, helping with meals, hygiene, mobility and daily activities to create a safe, enjoyable lifestyle.

The role is casual and on an as-needed basis, with opportunities to participate in activities and build relationships with residents. Applicants should be empathetic, patient and reliable for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Assist with hygiene and personal care.
• Support residents with daily activities and mobility.
• Participate in social activities and exercise programs.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Ellerslie village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:
