Summerset Nelson village is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our team, providing personal care and daily living support to residents while helping with meals, hygiene and gentle activities in a warm, respectful environment.

You will work as part of a caring team with flexible shifts and an emphasis on safety, connection, and quality of life for our residents. Prior aged care experience and strong communication are valued, along with reliability and kindness.

Qualifications

• Empathy and patient, compassionate approach.
• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Flexible to be available for a variety of shifts, sometimes on short notice.

Responsabilités

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support residents with walks, exercises, and activities.
• Engage residents in puzzles, games and social interactions.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Nelson village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a casual role working on an as and when needed basis with shifts offered at short notice.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
