Job summary

Avis Budget Group Greymouth Branch is seeking a passionate Branch Supervisor to lead our front-line team at Greymouth Railway Station. You will work at the rental counter, handle bookings and inquiries, and ensure customers have a positive experience.

You will inspect vehicles for damage, refuel and clean interiors and exteriors, coordinate daily team activities, train and coach staff, and assist the Branch Manager with rosters and reports while upholding policies.

Qualifications

• Proven managerial/leadership experience.
• Coaching and developing team members and providing feedback.
• Demonstrated problem solving and initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

About The Role

In this role you are the face of our brand! You will interact with our customers at the rental counter, complete rental bookings and respond to general customer inquiries. You will ensure our customers have a positive experience by providing a superior level of customer service.

You will also make sure we have groomed vehicles ready for service at our counters; this means you will be required to inspect cars for damages, refuel and assist with the cleaning of our vehicles both interior and exterior to ensure our customers get the best experience.

Further to the above you will coordinate the daily activities of the team and where needed, train, coach and direct the team in their duties. Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures and assisting the Branch Manager with preparing shift schedules and reports.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

• Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with proven experience in coaching and developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance of team members (highly advantageous but not essential).
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask.
• Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

As we operate 7 days a week, you will have a set roster working 40-hours per week (5 x 8-hour shifts) during our operating hours (Monday to Sunday 8 am - 6.30 pm) that will include one weekend day per week (either Saturday or Sunday) including public holidays.
