Job summary

Apex Car Rentals Wellington Airport is seeking a Branch Supervisor to lead a small team and deliver exceptional customer service at the rental counter. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate staff rosters and reports, and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled and prepared for guests.

This permanent role requires prior managerial experience, strong problem solving, and the ability to train and motivate staff. 40-hour week with weekend shifts and a competitive benefits package is offered.

About the Role

In this role you are the face of our brand! You will interact with our customers at the rental counter, complete rental bookings and respond to general customer inquiries. You will ensure our customers have a positive experience by providing a superior level of customer service. You will also make sure we have groomed vehicles ready for service at our counters; this means you will be required to inspect cars for damages, refuel and assist with the cleaning of our vehicles both interior and exterior to ensure our customers get the best experience. Further to the above you will coordinate the daily activities of the team and where needed, train, coach and direct the team in their duties. Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures and assisting the Branch Manager with preparing shift schedules and reports. To be successful in this role you will need: Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with proven experience in coaching and developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance of team members (highly advantageous but not essential). Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative. Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation. Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask. Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently. Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence. As we operate 7 days a week, you will have a roster working 40-hours per week (5 x 8-hour shifts) during our operating hours (Monday to Sunday 8 am - 6.30 pm) that will include one weekend day per week (either Saturday or Sunday) including public holidays.
