Qualifications

• Previous managerial and/or leadership experience with proven experience in coaching and developing team members, delivering feedback, and managing performance of team members.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Possesses competent planning and organisation skills and can multitask.
• Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

Immediately hiring! We are now seeking a passionate, energetic and motivated person, like you, to join our growing Avis Budget Group enterprise at Greymouth Railway Station. If you are ready for that next step in your career to lead and guide people, then this Branch Supervisor is perfect! We’ll help you reach your full potential by developing, encouraging and rewarding you to maximise your earnings whilst assisting the Branch Manager with supervision of all operational functions in a friendly and empowering environment. In this role you are the face of our brand! You will interact with our customers at the rental counter, complete rental bookings and respond to general customer inquiries. You will ensure our customers have a positive experience by providing a superior level of customer service. You will also make sure we have groomed vehicles ready for service at our counters; this means you will be required to inspect cars for damages, refuel and assist with the cleaning of our vehicles both interior and exterior to ensure our customers get the best experience. Further to the above you will coordinate the daily activities of the team and where needed, train, coach and direct the team in their duties. Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures and assisting the Branch Manager with preparing shift schedules and reports.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement, problem solve and show initiative.
• Experience in complaints handling, conflict resolution and negotiation.

• Ability to competently use Microsoft office suite and learn new systems and software quickly and efficiently.
• Current and Full NZ Drivers Licence.

As we operate 7 days a week, you will have a set roster working 40-hours per week (5 x 8-hour shifts) during our operating hours (Monday to Sunday 8 am - 6.30 pm) that will include one weekend day per week (either Saturday or Sunday) including public holidays.
