Job summary

Avis Budget Group at New Plymouth Airport is seeking a part-time Rental Operations Agent. You will handle both front and back of house tasks, engaging customers, promoting products and services, and completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

You will also inspect vehicles for damages, drive and park cars, and clean vehicles in the wash bay to ensure readiness for customers. Weekend shifts and 16 hours per week apply, with a starting hourly rate and incentive scheme.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided).
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Best of both world where you are not just sitting behind a desk all day! Based at New Plymouth Airport, we have a part-time position available for someone who has exceptional customer service skills and isn't afraid of hard work.

We work Monday to Sunday from 07:00 until 21.00 pm were we looking to fill a part-time 16-hours per week shift working weekends:

• Saturday - 8 hours anytime during operating hours
• Sunday - 8 hours anytime during operating hours

About The Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings.

On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.
