Job summary

This full-time role offers 32 hours per week with Thursday to Sunday shifts from 6am to 2:30pm. You will be joining a supportive team, receive on-the-job training, and contribute to high food-safety standards and quality customer service.

Pak’n Save Palmerston North is looking for a Bakery Assistant, who is reliable, self-motivated and hard working.

As one of Palmerston North’s largest bakeries, we strive to offer our customers excellent service, and baked goods of a very high quality. Our bakery has an excellent reputation for our cakes, biscuits, slices, pastries, and our wide range of artisan breads.

We are currently looking for a Bakery Assistant to join our team. Tasks will include wrapping and packing bakery products such as breads, buns, biscuits, pies and cakes, as well as the merchandising of the products in the department in an attractive and highly presentable manner.

This is a full time role offering 32 hours per week.

You will need:

• To effectively communicate with the team
• To be self motivated to succeed
• Cleanliness – and ability to comply with our food safety and health and safety programs
• Team player, but also able to work independently and follow instructions
