Job summary

New World Churton Park in Wellington is seeking an experienced Bread Baker to join our in-store bakery team. You will prepare, prove and bake a wide range of breads, maintain high quality and work in a busy, supportive environment.

We offer a choice of full-time or part-time hours, competitive pay based on skills, a modern bakery, opportunities to develop your skills and a staff discount after probation. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Bread baking experience, preferably within a supermarket or commercial bakery.
• Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
• Reliability and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and at least one weekend day.
• A recognised baking qualification would be an advantage, but practical experience is most important.

Responsibilities

This role can be structured as either full time or part time for the right person. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing great quality bread, works well in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
