Job summary

VIA Logistics is seeking a Transport Operations Lead in Venlo to run the daily transport operation for a major fashion client and to lead a team of five transport coordinators. You will book shipments, monitor orders, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining a strong client relationship.

You will report to a transport manager and play a key role in improving service, cost efficiency, and team development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of transport coordinators.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Background in logistics transport operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach five transport coordinators: set daily priorities, give feedback, build ownership and energy.
• Keep transport operations running: monitor orders/shipments, solve escalations, meet deadlines.
• Be the daily contact for client, warehouse and colleagues; provide clear answers and push back when needed.
• Monitor service, quality and costs; lead improvements with the team.
• Collaborate with carrier partners and account management to keep promises realistic.
• Monitor performance, share insights and suggest smarter ways of working.
