Job summary

VERSADO Personeelsdiensten is seeking a full-time all-round freight forwarder to coordinate national and international transports from start to finish in an dynamic Venlo region setting.

You will advise customers on logistics solutions, select partners, draft quotations, handle customs documents and invoices, and monitor costs and service levels. Strong Dutch, English and German communication is required.

Qualifications

• MBO+ or HBO level in logistics or supply chain is required.
• Experience with road freight and intermodal transport.
• Experience in freight forwarding, transport planning and transport management.
• Knowledge of transport processes, customs procedures and logistics systems.
• Strong organizational skills and resilience to stress.
• Good communication skills in Dutch, English and German.
• Analytical and solution-oriented ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software systems (Wisetech is a plus).

To strengthen their team, they are looking for a full-time all-round freight forwarder. In this role, together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for all national and international road transport and intermodal transport. You are involved from start to finish; you begin by advising the customer on the most efficient logistics solution. Next, you search for the right partners for the transport, draw up the quotation and take care of all administration, such as arranging customs documents. Then the transport begins; you monitor this closely and identify problems almost before they arise. You know how to resolve these quickly while staying within the set margins, transport costs and expected service levels. You do this, of course, with a sharp eye on applicable laws and regulations. Throughout the entire process, you are the point of contact for the customer, the carrier and your internal colleagues. It is therefore important that you are confident and communicate clearly, adapting effortlessly to whoever you're speaking with. Once the goods have been delivered to their destination, your work is not done. You extract points for improvement from the entire process and identify where optimization and improvement are needed, not only for your own processes but also company-wide. Whenever there are commercial opportunities, both with existing and new customers, you identify these and pass them on to the commercial department.

Strong organizational skills and resilience to stress

Good communication skills in Dutch, English and German (an additional language is a plus)

Analytical and solution-oriented ability

Good command of Microsoft Office and logistics software systems (experience with Wisetech is a plus)

Gross salary between €3,500 and €5,000 per month (depending on experience)
