We’re looking for a Logistics Team Lead to join our Wessem site. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multiple departments, coach and develop your team, and play a key role in optimizing productivity and quality. You’ll also oversee staffing, time registration, and ensure smooth operational execution.
Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to manage a team, provide clear direction, and deliver constructive feedback to drive performance and development
- Responsible to meet all operational KPI’s
- Assigns duties and monitors work completion for accuracy
- Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
- Lead start-up activities with cross functional teams
- Responsible to make recommendations regarding hiring, terminating, performance evaluations, and promotions
- Daily interaction with internal and external customer on operational level
- Personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts, plan and organize staff workload
- Maintain documentation of processes that are followed by the department
- Train associates so an up to date understanding of processes, policies and procedures are maintained
- Work safely as per GXO Health & Safety trainings, standards, procedures and processes and actively contribute to a safer work environment for colleagues and visitors
- Contribution to structural reduction of negative environmental impact from usage of natural resources (a/o energy, water, fuel) and from emissions (waste, carbon) and to contribute to environmental performance initiatives
- Adhere to applicable legal requirements, GXO and industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a managerial or leading position, within a logistics environment
- Strong communication skills in English with Dutch advantageous
- Analytical skills
- Enthusiastic and flexible attitude, and are a self-starter
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite and WMS functionality
- Knowledge around LEAN Warehousing processes is an advantage
- Ability to motivate and engage a team to ensure success
