Job summary

GXO Logistics in Veenendaal is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations, develop the team, and drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement on site.

You will oversee daily operations, coach and develop staff, and ensure production targets and customer metrics are met while maintaining a safe working environment. This role offers growth within a global logistics organization and access to GXO University.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar logistics role, including leading larger teams.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of Lean methodology is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English and Dutch, both written and verbal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring performance targets are met and corrective actions are taken as needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members through training and performance management.
• Assign tasks and monitor work to ensure accuracy, productivity and efficiency.
• Manage employee relations and support disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Plan staffing and scheduling to meet operational demands.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, quality management, and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure achievement of customer metrics including quality and responsiveness.
• Maintain a safe working environment and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate operational reports and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
