Job summary

Avani zoekt een Front Office Intern in Amsterdam. Je maakt kennis met de dagelijkse hoteloperaties, verwelkomt gasten, assisteert bij check-ins en -outs en draagt bij aan een vlotte gastenervaring.

Je volgt een HBO-opleiding in Hospitality of vergelijkbaar, beheerst Engels en bent flexibel met wisselende diensten, ook in weekend/nacht. Je ontvangt €750 bruto per maand en toegang tot trainingen, internationale carrièremogelijkheden en medewerkerskortingen.

Qualifications

• Studentenopleiding HBO/ Hospitality/Hotel Management of gelijkwaardig.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en klantgerichte instelling.
• Flexibiliteit met diensten, in het bijzonder weekends/nachten.

Responsibilities

• Welkom gasten en assisteer bij check-in en check-out.
• Ondersteun gasten tijdens het verblijf en geef informatie.
• Behandel feedback en klachten met professionaliteit.
• Help Front Office met administratie en dagelijkse taken.
• Reageer op online reviews en help klanttevredenheid monitoren.
• Ondersteun kasverantwoordelijkheid en einde- dienst procedures.
• Beheer Lost & Found verzoeken en volg op met gasten.
• Assisteer bij nacht audit en andere rapportages.
• Identificeer upsellingkansen en draag bij aan gastenervaring.

As a Front Office Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in one of the most dynamic departments of the hotel. Working alongside an experienced team, you will learn about the day-to-day operations of a hotel while developing valuable skills in guest service, communication, and hospitality.

• Welcome guests and assist with check‑ins and check‑outs.
• Support guests throughout the stay and provide information about the hotel and local area.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and care.
• Assist with Front Office administration and daily operational tasks.
• Respond to online guest reviews and help monitor guest satisfaction.
• Support cash handling and end‑of‑shift procedures.
• Manage Lost & Found requests and follow up with guests when needed.
• Assist with the night audit process and other reporting tasks.
• Identify upselling opportunities and contribute to enhancing the guest experience.

• You are currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related field.
• You enjoy interacting with people and are passionate about delivering great guest experiences.
• You are proactive, organized, and eager to learn.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
• You have a good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
• You are flexible and available to work on various shifts, including weekends and occasional nights.
• You are able to provide a school internship agreement.
• You have a residential address in the Netherlands during your internship.
