Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is seeking a Front Office Intern to be the face of the hotel and create memorable guest experiences. You will gain hands-on exposure to Front Office operations in a dynamic international environment.

This internship offers an inside view of hotel standards, procedures, and customer service, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, professionalism, and growth within PPHE Hotel Group across Europe.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in hospitality or related study program.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Proactive and keen to learn and develop hospitality skills.
• Available for an internship of 5–6 months in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check-in guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assist with guest check-outs and handle payments accurately.
• Answer calls and respond to guest inquiries.
• Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Maintain accurate guest records in the hotel system.
• Support Front Office with daily administrative tasks.
• Learn and apply hotel standards and customer service practices.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns under supervision.
• Prepare reports and handover notes as required.

As a Front Office Intern, you will be the face of the hotel and play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences. You will gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of Front Office operations while developing your professional and hospitality skills in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check-in guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist with guest check-outs and process payments accurately.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Handle guest requests and ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate guest records in the hotel management system.
• Support the Front Office team with daily administrative tasks.
• Learn and apply hotel standards, procedures, and customer service practices.
• Assist in resolving guest concerns under the supervision of the front office team.
• Prepare reports and complete shift handover notes as required.
• Ensure the reception area remains organized, professional, and welcoming.
• Participate in training sessions and develop hospitality and communication skills.

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality or related study programme
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
• Guest-focused mindset with a positive and professional approach
• Enjoys working in a team and adapting to a fast-paced environment
• Available for an internship of at least 5–6 months
• Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an advantage
• Interest in Front Office and guest relations
• Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS) is a plus
• Dutch or any additional language skills are an advantage
• Eagerness to develop operational knowledge within a hotel environment

The internship allowance is €550 gross per month (full-time), which is above the Horeca CAO BOL guidelines.
