Job summary

NH Hotels & Resorts in Amsterdam is seeking a Desk Manager to lead the Front Office team and deliver memorable guest experiences from check-in to check-out.

You will support the Front Office, review arrivals, coordinate with departments, and guide the team during morning and day shifts. Fluency in English is essential; other languages are a plus, and comfort with hotel systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a Front Office or reception role.
• Experience as a Desk Manager, Shift Leader or Supervisor is a plus.
• Organised, accurate and able to set priorities during busy shifts.
• Good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
• Comfortable using hotel systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly at check-in and bid farewell at check-out.
• Support the Front Office team throughout the day to ensure smooth operations.
• Review arrivals and share updates with relevant departments.
• Represent Front Office at morning meetings when needed.
• Ensure a smooth day for guests and colleagues through proactive handovers.
