Job summary

Dsv Air & Sea SAU is looking for a Freight Forwarder Special Services in Venlo, Netherlands. In this role, you'll handle transport requests and find specialist transport solutions. The position includes responsibilities like managing customer contacts and coordinating transport orders.

Job Overview

Move forward as Freight Forwarder Special Services at DSV in Venlo. As a Freight Forwarder Special Services, you push boundaries and focus on specialist transport solutions.

Responsibilities

• handle transport requests, spot quotes, tenders and internal enquiries
• buy and sell transport capacity within a carrier network and/or using our own fleet
• identify temporary warehousing solutions for customers
• calculate margins, prepare and issue quotations, and ensure proper financial settlement
• coordinate the execution of transport orders, monitor progress and resolve escalations when necessary
• maintain close contact with customers, including on‑site visits, often together with the Account Manager

Qualifications

• a passion for the profession; a qualification in transport or logistics is a plus
• some experience in transport planning and/or freight forwarding, e.g. in LTL/FTL, import and export, or specialist transport
• a commercial mindset, balancing the interests of both DSV and the customer
• good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a strong advantage
