Job summary

DSV Road GmbH is recruiting at Tilburg for a Freight Forwarder to plan and coordinate international shipments and maintain networks with customers and partners. The role focuses on efficient scheduling using planning systems and real‑time monitoring to ensure smooth deliveries.

You will work on rate agreements, liaise with customers, and handle deviations in transit. The position requires practical transport experience and fluency in Dutch and English, with opportunities for training and career

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or coordinating transport, e.g. freight forwarder, transport planner or supply chain coordinator.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of driving and rest time regulations.

Freight Forwarder – Tilburg

At our road transport location in Tilburg, you ensure efficient and reliable planning of international shipments. You are an expert in building and maintaining both internal and external networks: you’re on it.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and timely delivery of shipments through efficient planning with the highest possible loading capacity, using systems such as CIEL and iTMS.
• Monitor shipments in real time and proactively respond to deviations, safety challenges and operational disruptions.
• Create and monitor rate agreements for purchased transport and steer on these within the daily operation.
• Proactively communicate with customers and partners, track shipments and identify irregularities during collection and delivery of shipments.

Qualifications

• A completed MBO-level education, preferably in transport and logistics.
• Experience in planning or coordinating transport, for example as a freight forwarder, transport planner or supply chain coordinator.
• A good command of both Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of MS Office and automated planning systems.
• Knowledge of driving and rest time regulations.
