DSV – Global transport and logistics

Freight Forwarder at DSV in Venlo. Provide fast, efficient transport solutions across Europe using advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Arrange transport shipments quickly and efficiently.
• Schedule trucks (FTL, LTL, groupage) for outbound and return journeys to maximize load factor.
• Ensure correct and timely delivery of shipments and plan to achieve highest load factor.
• Monitor shipments in real time and respond proactively to safety issues.
• Negotiate rates for purchased transport.
• Communicate and inform customers and partners, follow up shipments and identify irregularities related to loading, unloading, or delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in transport and logistics is an advantage, but passion for the field is far more important.
• Some experience in planning or coordinating transport (freight forwarder, transport planner, or supply chain coordinator).
• Good command of Dutch preferred; proficiency in English required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to quickly learn new systems.
