Freight Forwarder Special Services – DSV, Venlo

As an Expeditioner Special Services, you will explore literal and figurative boundaries. You and your colleagues handle specialized transport that does not fit the standard network – wide‑haul transport, projects, combined road+ solutions, and cross‑border shipments across Europe. You will develop full solutions for our clients, from request to execution and financial settlement.

Responsibilities

• Handle transport requests, spot quotes, tenders and internal enquiries.
• Arrange and sell transport via a network of carriers or own fleet.
• Search for temporary warehouse solutions.
• Calculate margins, prepare and send quotes, and manage financial settlement.
• Execute transport requests, monitor progress and resolve escalations.
• Maintain contact with customers, often visiting them together with the account manager.

The team combines experienced and newer colleagues who help and learn from each other. Workplace enjoyment and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Passion for the field; education in transport or logistics is advantageous.
• Experience in transport planning and/or expedition (LTL/FTL, import/export or special transport).
• Commercial mindset, balancing DSV’s and the client’s interests.
• Strong command of Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
