Job summary

The Pyrmont Curaçao Beach Resort is set to debut in 2026 as an Autograph Collection by Marriott. The Engineering Coordinator will oversee the MRT system, preventive maintenance, and guest-related maintenance to uphold brand standards and deliver a premium guest experience.

In this role you’ll partner with the Engineering leadership to schedule tasks, track progress, and ensure safety, efficiency, and sustainability across a luxury, adults-only resort in Curaçao. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering operations, facility maintenance, or technical coordination (hospitality experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of hotel maintenance systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing basics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills; fluency in English required (Papiamentu and/or Spanish preferred).
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and distribute daily maintenance tasks through the MRT (Maintenance Request Tracker) or related work order system.
• Ensure that all maintenance requests are logged, prioritized, assigned, and completed in a timely manner.
• Monitor task progress throughout the day and follow-up with technicians to ensure completion.
• Perform quality checks on completed jobs and elevate recurring issues to the Engineering leadership team.
• Maintain smooth communication between engineering and operational departments to minimize guest impact.
• Prepare and maintain the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Schedule for all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house systems.
• Coordinate PM execution with the Engineering Team to ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and audit requirements.
• Track completion status, identify overdue tasks, and support the team in achieving 100% PM compliance.
• Assist in updating and optimizing PM plans based on system performance, manufacturer recommendations, and seasonal needs.
• Review and follow up on all guest request maintenance related comments and complaints.
• Ensure cases are investigated, closed within the required timeframe, and preventive actions are documented.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front office, and Engineering supervisors to prevent repeat issues.
• Track and report trends in guest feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the planning and coordination of small-scale projects, renovations, and special maintenance tasks.
• Schedule manpower, tools, and materials required for upcoming work.
• Follow up on timelines and completion of reports.
• Assist in tracking inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Conduct periodic counts and report stock levels to the Engineering leadership team.
• Support energy monitoring reporting, including tracking consumption of electricity, water, and gas.
• Assist in implementing energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
