Ansell is looking for an Automation Engineer (IOT) to join our team in Malacca!

In this position you will play a vital role is to lead a crew of electricians to service and troubleshoot all equipment to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing processes. This role requires you to support the manager to oversee the efficiency electricity usage in the plant and the cost of maintenance of the electrical department. This role is also responsible to ensure the efficiency of the electrical crew.

What your role will be?

• Analyze production needs and determine electrical system requirements, capacity and cost to develop a system plan.
• Supervise the installations of electrical equipment and ensure that installation standards and specifications are met.
• Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
• Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair.
• Inspect electronic equipment, instruments and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Lead a crew of chargemen and electronic technicians to service and troubleshoot issues relating to power and electronics.
• Keep equipment operational by coordinating repair, service Installation, commissioning with good preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability of the machine.
• Work on upgrading the plant equipment to latest state of the art energy efficient equipment with a view to reduce energy cost.
• Complying with the regulations as stated in the latest electricity supply act.

What will you bring to Ansell?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/mechatronic Engineering or equivalent from reputable Universities.
• At least 2 to 3 years working experience in manufacturing is required for this position.
• Those with PLC / SCADA experience will have an added advantage.
• Have network experience will have an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently and as a team.
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
