Job summary
A prominent business management firm based in Petaling, Malaysia is looking for a skilled tax professional to handle corporate and individual tax filings, ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations, and provide advisory services. Candidates should possess a degree in Accounting or a related professional qualification and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance. - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTIM is an advantage).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in tax compliance or advisory.
- Good knowledge of Malaysian Income Tax Act, Public Rulings, and related regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English and Mandarin language is mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax-related software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- Prepare and review corporate and individual tax computations and returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
- Advise clients and management on tax planning opportunities and compliance obligations.
- Handle correspondence with tax authorities on queries, audits, and appeals.
- Assist in transfer pricing documentation and other tax-related advisory assignments.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and update the management team accordingly.
- Support audit teams on tax-related matters during statutory audits.
