A healthcare company based in Malaysia is seeking a qualified legal counsel to manage compliance and legal matters. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Law with at least five years of experience in legal roles. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as fluency in both English and Chinese to effectively engage with stakeholders and support cross-border legal matters.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM, with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred, and must be admitted to the bar with a current license to practice law. With at least five years of experience as in-house legal counsel or in a reputable law firm, with proven expertise in drafting and reviewing a broad range of legal documents and agreements. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks, and the capability to meet strict deadlines. The candidate should be able to work both independently and collaboratively across functions, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. Bilingual fluency in English and Chinese is required to effectively communicate with stakeholders, review bilingual legal documents, and support cross-border legal matters involving Chinese-speaking regions.
