Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Purpose:
The Business Intelligence Team uses data to analyse market and business trends for to increase Carsome Group’s profits and efficiency. The Business Intelligence Analyst maintains the data warehouse and reporting platforms of the company ensuring consistency and quality of data, working with the business to develop new and innovative reporting capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain data warehouse and data marts.
- Translate requirements from the business into delivered reporting capabilities.
- Build complex queries to match specific business requirements.
- Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.
- Ensure the best possible performance and data quality.
- Utilise techniques to perform ad hoc analysis of data.
- Maintain and update business intelligence tools.
- Provide technical support for existing dashboard and reporting/ visualization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information System Management or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience participating in data warehousing and business intelligence projects.
- Good working experience of Microsoft BI tools, Tableau, QlikView, Pentaho BI and MicroStrategy.
- Experience in any ETL tools: Pentaho, DataStage, SSIS, Informatica.
- Writes advanced SQL including some query tuning.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
- Great communication & interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience in YellowFin and Microsoft Technologies.
- Familiarity of technologies like Redshift, Google Could Computing.
- Solid experience working for a multinational organisation where English is the primary business language and ideally based abroad.
- Previous experience in automotive and/or online media industry.
