Our heritage and values are reflected in our brand promise – here for good. The Technology & Innovation team is currently seeking a Senior System Analyst for CARD-400 (Credit Card systems).
The Senior System Analyst will contribute to requirement gathering, solution discussions, designing solutions (both functional and technical), development, testing, and documentation of project changes for Credit Card systems following the Agile SDF process. The role also involves assisting the delivery manager and/or scrum master with project management tasks.
Additionally, the successful candidate should:
- Be self-initiating and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Have an analytical mindset and the ability to propose solutions based on system analysis.
- Ensure compliance with System Development Framework (SDF), Quality Management Framework (QMF), Disciplined Agile Delivery, and Risk Mitigation frameworks, including process, security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Possess knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and be able to work effectively within a Scrum team.
- Have 6-8 years of experience working on the AS400 platform, with skills in RPG, CL, PL/SQL, Control-M.
- Have 2-3 years of experience in Java, Maven, Git, ADO.
- Be able to review and guide junior developers' code.
- Possess domain knowledge of credit cards.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Confluence, CICD.
- Knowledge of AR Remedy and software lifecycle management tools like Thenon or Aldon is advantageous.
- Be adaptable and open to constant change.
Key Responsibilities
- Have a strong understanding of the Credit Card business and domain-specific knowledge.
- Basic understanding of Personal Loan business and its functional aspects.
- Lead and support credit card system development projects to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, business, and staff.
- Understand business ideas, clarify objectives for future products or features, and assist in setting benchmarks such as customer acquisition strategies and value propositions.
- Plan development activities with the software team, establish primary business requirements, guide development direction, and prioritize tasks through workshops, user stories, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
- Engage with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Gather feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Deliver projects within the bank's project management framework, on time and within budget, emphasizing quality and speed to market through incremental releases.
- Support initiatives to grow the CCPL business, including system solutions for balance growth, transforming manual processes to digital, and supporting global initiatives.

- Credit Card product teams across various countries including UAE, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia, Jersey.
- Retail Banking Technology & Innovation teams, Credit Card Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Credit, Collections, Onboarding teams, and other in-country teams.
- Technology & Innovation leadership at country, regional, and global levels.
Other Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to review logged issues and backlog priorities, providing feedback on challenges and best practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of CARD-400 system parameters and review change requests proactively.
