Job summary

Rentokil Initial Malaysia is seeking an experienced Website Content Translator & Proofreader to translate and adapt approximately 600 corporate web pages from English to Bahasa Malaysia (BM). You will work directly within our CMS to ensure high-quality, localised content across core business domains, with onboarding provided.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in web content translation or localisation, strong BM grammar, and familiarity with web CMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Direct CMS translation & localisation of website content and CTAs.
• Maintain brand tone and accurate technical terminology for BM translations.
• Preserve localised SEO elements including page titles, meta descriptions, and alt tags.
• Review layouts to ensure BM text fits within design templates and mobile viewports.
• Translate ~600 pages within a 1-month contract timeline (~25–30 pages per day).

We are seeking an experienced, meticulous, and tech-savvy Website Content Translator & Proofreader to translate and adapt approximately 600 corporate web pages from English to Bahasa Malaysia (BM). The successful candidate will work directly within our Content Management System (CMS) to ensure high-quality, localised, and brand-consistent digital content across our core business domains. Full onboarding and system access training will be provided prior to project commencement.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Direct CMS Translation & Localisation: Translate website copy, product/service descriptions, blog articles, forms, and call-to-action (CTA) buttons directly within the web system (CMS).
• Tone & Brand Alignment: Translate technical, pest control, and hygiene terminology accurately while maintaining a professional, localised B2B/B2C tone suitable for the Malaysian market.
• On-Page SEO Awareness: Preserve localised SEO elements including page titles, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and target keywords provided by the digital team during input.
• Format & Visual Verification: Review preview layouts to ensure translated BM text fits correctly within web design templates, UI cards, and mobile viewports without breaking structural formatting.
• Target Output: Complete direct translations for ~600 pages within the agreed 1-month contract timeline (~25–30 web pages per business day).

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Minimum SPM/STPM or Diploma in any field.
• Language Proficiency: Native fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and full professional proficiency in Written English.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in web content translation, copywriting, or localisation (experience in industrial, commercial B2B, hygiene, or chemical/environmental service sectors is a strong advantage) is preferred.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working directly inside web backend systems / CMS platforms.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent proofreading skills with strict adherence to correct BM grammar, terminology, and spelling standards (Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka / DBP alignment).
• Time Management: Strong self-discipline and ability to meet steady daily page output targets within a strict 30-day timeline.
• Must be available for full-time, office-based work for the entire 1-month contract term, with minimal or no planned leave
• Must be a Malaysian citizen or hold relevant residence status.
