Job summary

IOT Manufacturing in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution functions.

You will lead inventory control, staff scheduling, and process improvements to drive cost efficiency and reliable service while ensuring safety compliance and adherence to warehouse policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years warehouse/logistics ops experience with 2 years in supervision.
• Experience with WMS, ERP, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and inventory management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Direct inventory control and cycle counts.
• Develop policies and procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Implement a successful operation by managing all distribution, warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Monitors volume of business and determines appropriate work schedule.
• Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
• Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment.
• Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture.
• Reviews the loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory and reconciling records.
• Develop overall strategy that focuses on cost, speed, and reliability of the services provided to business.
• Control and monitor HC requirements for warehouse operations .
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and metrics to reduce costs, streamline procedures and implement solutions.
• Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Drive continuous improvement to standard warehouses process.
• Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, and distribution management.
• Proficient in Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and inventory management practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives is an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and drive operational excellence.
• Mandarin language proficiency added as an advantage
