Responsibilities

• Manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations and supervise staff.
• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by coordinating policies, procedures, and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; advise management on actions.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing security procedures and monitoring controls.
• Control inventory levels by conducting counts and reconciling with data storage systems.
• Plan and implement improvements to warehouse layout; inspect equipment and issue work orders for repairs.
• Monitor work schedules to match business volume; set productivity standards and necessary controls.
• Oversee upkeep of operating and material handling equipment and review loading/unloading schedules.
• Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and record reconciliation.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment in line with company policies.

Implement a successful operation by managing all distribution and warehouse functions. Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services; supervising staff.

Key responsibilities

Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures

Comply with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system

Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement

Monitor volume of business and determine appropriate work schedule

Set productivity standards and establish necessary controls to ensure objectives are met

Monitor condition and maintenance of operating and material handling equipment

Review loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses

Coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory and reconciling records

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
