Job summary

Nippon Express (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse Operations Coordinator to coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch to ensure timely execution.

The role requires a diploma or degree in logistics or related field, at least 3 years in warehouse operations, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia communication, with proficiency in Excel; willingness to work outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma / Professional Certificate / Bachelor's Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of inventory control and customs procedures will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Good coordination, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and with different departments.
• Willing to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch to ensure smooth and timely execution.
• Monitor inventory and warehouse activities to maintain stock accuracy, proper space utilisation, documentation accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with Transport, Customer Service, Operations and other relevant departments to ensure smooth cargo movement and timely resolution of operational issues.
• Monitor warehouse productivity, manpower utilisation, equipment and operational resources, and follow up on issues to minimise disruption and maintain service standards.
• Supervise and support warehouse staff in daily work allocation, operational procedures, safety and workplace discipline.
• Prepare operational reports and support process improvement and cost-control initiatives, while ensuring compliance with company, customer, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
