Job summary

Private Advertiser in Ipoh is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to inspect incoming materials and finished goods for damages and correct items. You will log stock, label and store in designated locations, with forklift knowledge a plus.

You will maintain stock movement records, participate in cycle counts, manage stock rotation (FIFO), assist in order fulfillment, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams. Routine PODs and logistics reporting are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods for damages, shortages, or incorrect items.
• Cross-check shipments against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Orders (DOs).
• Log verified incoming inventory into the system, label and store in designated locations.
• Maintain records of stock movements including stock IN/OUT, internal transfers and returns.
• Participate in cycle counts and monthly stock takes to verify physical stock against system records.
• Assist in packing, checking, and staging goods based on customer orders; verify item descriptions and POD.

Job description

Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods for damages, shortages, or incorrect items.

Cross-check physical shipments against Purchase Orders (POs) and Delivery Orders (DOs).

Promptly log verified incoming inventory into the system and ensure goods are labeled and stored in designated locations. (Knowing to drive forklift are added advantage)

Inventory Control & Stock Traceability:

Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including stock IN, stock OUT, internal transfers, and returns.

Participate in regular cycle counts and monthly stock takes to verify physical stock against system records.

Practice proper stock rotation (FIFO) and assist in monitoring slow-moving or damaged items.

Order Dispatch & Fulfillment:

Assist in packing, checking, and staging goods based on approved customer orders.

Verify item descriptions (Batch number & etc), quantities, and customer details prior to loading.

Ensure mandatory shipping documentation and Delivery Orders are complete before items leave the warehouse.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination:

Assist in organizing daily delivery routes and scheduling company drivers or third-party transporters.

Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Warehouse teams to update delivery timelines and handle urgent shipments.

Monitor delivery progress, follow up on delays, and collect and file Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.

Inspect and log returned or rejected goods, segregating damaged stock from saleable inventory.

Maintain accurate records and prepare routine inventory and logistics summary reports for management.
