Job summary

EXEO Global Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Customs Declaration Officer based in Malaysia. You will gather information for Malaysia customs declarations, prepare and submit import/export declarations (K1, K2, K8, PKFZ) in line with regulations, and ensure timely submissions.

You will monitor status, liaise with shippers and agents, maintain records, and support KPIs and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in customs declaration, freight forwarding, or logistics operations.
• Hands-on experience in preparing and submitting Malaysia Customs declarations (K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, etc.).
• Familiar with Dagang Net and Malaysia Customs procedures.
• Strong understanding of import/export documentation, tariff codes, and compliance.
• Attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with customers and agents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gather and verify information and supporting documents for Malaysia customs declaration processing.
• Prepare, process, and submit import and export declarations (K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, others).
• Ensure declarations are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
• Monitor declaration status and liaise with shippers, customers, agents and customs system to resolve issues.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and records for audit and compliance.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia Customs regulations and SOPs.
• Support the team in achieving KPIs, service quality and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead or Management.

Key Accountabilities

• Gather and verify the required information and supporting documents from internal and external parties for Malaysia customs declaration processing.
• Prepare, process, and submit import and export customs declarations, including K1, K2, K8, PKFZ, and other relevant declaration types in compliance with Malaysia Customs regulations and company procedures.
• Ensure all customs declarations are accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timelines.
• Monitor declaration status and liaise with shippers, customers, forwarding agents, and the customs system to resolve declaration-related issues promptly.
• Investigate and resolve declaration discrepancies or exceptions by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of customs declarations for audit and compliance purposes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports as assigned by the Team Lead.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia Customs regulations, company SOPs, and customer requirements.
• Support the team in achieving operational KPIs, service quality, and compliance standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Lead or Management from time to time.
